Kenny Thompson is a Chicago-based jazz guitarist and composer leading this new quartet project. The band plays primarily original music rooted in modern, straight-ahead jazz — drawing on influences like Kurt Rosenwinkel, Mark Turner, and the early-2000s New York scene, with touches of hard-bop/post-bop and Scofield-era fusion. They also mix in some of our own renditions of standards to keep the set accessible and flowing.
